Privacy Policy

Protecting the personal data of individuals is important to us. We commit that the information we collect is only kept for as long as necessary to assist you in the use of this website, for our sales and marketing purposes, or other purposes described in this privacy notice.

Version: February 2024

Your use of this website will likely be for professional purposes since Trapets delivers business-to-business services.

Trapets' websites may contain links to other companies' websites or services, with their own privacy policies. Trapets is not responsible for any processing of personal data by such other companies' websites or services.

Trapets’ service delivery includes processing of personal data on behalf of our customers, as processor (as defined in the GDPR). Each customer is the controller (as defined in the GDPR) for the processing of personal data on its behalf. Trapets’ processing is governed by the relevant customer contract, including data processing agreement, and is outside the scope of this privacy policy.

Collection and Processing of Data

Business contact data

Trapets' websites allow Trapets to collect information on IP addresses and website activities for visitors, using cookies (see below for more information about cookies).

Trapets' websites allow a visitor to complete a form in which the visitor provides Trapets with specific personal data (name, e-mail address, phone number, and company) to book a demo, be contacted by Trapets and/or to sign up for Trapets newsletters, webinars or events, or to download material. It is entirely voluntary to provide Trapets with such information. Where a visitor has provided personal data to Trapets, Trapets may also collect other publicly available professional personal data (e.g. title /position or contact information) from publicly available sources, such as LinkedIn or other commercial websites.

Trapets also collects potential business contact data from commercial sources, such as Kaspr (https://info.kaspr.io/). The collection, retention and sharing of data by Kaspr is governed by the Kaspr Privacy Policy (https://www.kaspr.io/privacy-policy).

Trapets does not collect or process any sensitive data of business contacts.

Trapets will process the collected business contact personal data only for customer relationship management (CRM) and B2B sales and marketing purposes, including lead generation and nurturing, including the distribution of newsletters.

The legal basis for Trapets’ processing of business contact data is Trapets' legitimate interest of CRM and sales and marketing activities as described in this privacy policy.

Customer support

For customer support, Trapets uses a Zendesk support portal. Within the support portal, Trapets processes the name and e-mail address of the support portal user. Screening data

By default, the collection and processing of Screening Data are performed by Trapets as processor for our customer (the controller). Such processing by Trapets is governed by the relevant customer contract, including data processing agreement, and is outside the scope of this privacy notice.

However, to a limited extent, the collection and processing of Screening Data may be performed by Trapets as controller for such processing. It is then based on a legitimate interest in the delivery of Trapets’ Screening service, directly or via Trapets' reseller partners, to customers or third parties with a legal obligation for anti-money laundering (AML), counter-terrorist financing and/or other regulatory requirements.

Screening Data is used solely to help operators and other parties to comply with their legal obligations regarding anti-money laundering (AML), counter-terrorist financing and/or other regulatory requirements.

Screening Data is continuously updated and will not be stored longer than necessary for its purpose or compliance with legal requirements for Trapets or our customers. Within Trapets’ services, Screening Data may be transferred to Trapets' reseller partners, their end customers or Trapets' customers. Such partners and/or end customers are responsible for their processing the Screening Data.
