For the 5th year in a row, Trapets has been appointed one of Sweden’s fastest-growing and most profitable companies and has thus been awarded the appointment as Gasell 2021 by Dagens Industri (DI).

DI has been recognising Sweden’s fastest-growing and most successful companies since the year 2000, and we’re very honoured to be on the list.

DI Gasell criteria:
To be appointed to Gasell, the company must meet all of the criteria below. But in addition to these criteria, DI makes an overall assessment of the company and weighs in additional parameters which show the business is sound. In the Gasell survey, DI always analyse the company’s four most recent annual reports.

A Gasell has:

  • A turnover exceeding SEK 10 million
  • At least ten employees
  • At least doubled its turnover, comparing the first and last fiscal year during the examination period
  • Increased its turnover every year over the past three years
  • A combined operating profit for the four fiscal years that is positive
  • Essentially grown organically, not through acquisitions or mergers
  • Healthy finances

Purpose of DI Gasell:
The purpose of DI Gasell is to support and encourage Swedish businesses and entrepreneurs who dare to bet to grow! The term Gasell was created by American scientist David Birch. A Gazelle company is a small, fast-growing company, and as Birch already showed in the 1980s, it is these companies that create most new jobs, unlike the elephants of the economy, which must constantly improve efficiency and often reduce employment. Since 2000, Dagens Industri has appointed the fastest-growing companies in each of Sweden’s 21 counties at eight Gasell parties from Malmö in the south to Umeå in the north.
