The RegTech100 list recognises the world’s most innovative technology solution providers that offer products and services in compliance, risk management, information security and financial crime. Over 1200 companies have been assessed during the selection process, and Trapets is humble and honoured to have secured a spot amongst the top 100.

This award comes when demand for effective regulatory technology grows exponentially, with the RegTech industry expected to surpass $130bn by 2025. “Banks and other financial institutions are investing heavily into AI capabilities to automate highly manual regulatory tasks, support digital onboarding processes and monitor for fraudulent activity”, said Mariyan Dimitrov – Director of Research at FinTech Global.

“For Trapets, to receive this recognition is an acknowledgement of the great work our teams are doing, and equally, it is a sign that through our Platform ‘Instantwatch’, we continue to deliver innovative and unique solutions to help our customers fight financial crime”, said Gabriella Bussien, Head of Sales and Marketing at Trapets.

For financial institutions, the regulatory landscape is becoming increasingly complex to navigate, which in addition to multifaceted processes and systems, can result in a high degree of uncertainty when it comes to remaining compliant. “We see this trend from large banks and financial institutions to newly started FinTech and the multitude of industries and companies who have a responsibility to onboard clients, know their customers or monitor and report suspicious transactions”, continued Gabriella Bussien.

Instantwatch is a SaaS platform used by customers around the globe to help their businesses detect, prevent and report financial crime activities, such as money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud and various forms of market manipulation, including insider trading. The most recent Instantwatch module allows users to streamline and automate client onboarding and ongoing due diligence processes.

Trapets is committed to improving solutions for their customers, with several new updates and products due to launch in 2022, including the launch of FCS-AML Transaction Monitoring as a Managed Service, for companies who wish to outsource this complex and time-consuming task.
